London Fashion Weekend Trend Report

Its been a long time since I have uploaded anything this blog, I have been concentrating on the official “A Button And Thread” lately and It took all my time on the website I do fashion styling which is my favorite thing in the world! Now to update you on what I have been doing, I went to London Fashion Weekend and in this post I will bring you the latest trends I saw on the catwalk, The atmosphere as incredible, I felt like this the place I belong to, I watched the trend show which showed the trends or this season, I did not see any specific designers however I did watch them ALL online and picked out some great ones that really caught my eye!
The show started with “Pretty in Pink” the pink shade this season is fantastic, There was soft pastel floral pinks, There was a lot of fur again with pastel colours and there was also multi coloured furs these were from coats, jackets to even trousers!

There was metallic pleats and prints seen, they were absolutely fantastic!
The second trend was nature, this was unique even though we have obviously seen it before. I saw boucle on jackets in beige, light green and pink. The colours in this trend were also repeating. I saw parka jackets with fur details in them. There was a fantastic textile on a specific coat which is in the photograph below (TOP/RIGHT) the textiles were green and yellow lines hammed together with a melted effect it was so beautiful! I wanted to repeat it myself.
There was a lot of big hats on the catwalk, there was also fringe but short fringe which is unusual. I saw cashmere and Big textures. An photographs on garments looked absolutely stunning!

Shape-up was the next trend, the first garment came out was lime and black it stood out very well, the lime was a furry jacket. The shapes were seen in the print I drew them on my note pad because they cant be explain, The following photographs show some of these prints that were noticed

Victoriana – this trend was sexy, simple, elegant with small interesting details. I saw black and white monochrome, these were the main two colours. I saw ruffles, sexy feminine black suits, leather and pvc. There was stright tailoring and there was played with tailoring with a twist or pleat here and there.
The last garment was a lace black skirt with a lace beige top

I loved most of the garments on the catwalk fashion has definitely been repeated here and there but even with that the chocolate and pink furs stood out, the PVC stood out and even a simple lace top made the audience wow!

After the trend catwalk, I visited some of the contemporary womenswear I saw labels such as charlotte taylor (who is a favorite of mine) and I also visited the designer womenswear labels such as D&G, Celine & Pringle of scotland

Henry Holland’s products were also there from Tees to jewelery to scarfs even nail products

And there much more, jewellery stands to shoes to sunglasses the whole package!
